Hi everyone,

I've been in a back office internship in a large investment bank for 2 months now. I've been working hard and have done some good work. Always the first in the office and usually one of the last to leave.

Recently my manager has allowed me to make contact with people in a front office role (connected with trading), with the intention that I can do a few days work with them. I've also had another offer from traders who want me for a week and then maybe in a full time position, but I've still got 4 months on my internship left. (I've already graduated).

Currently, I'm sticking with my manager, as I don't want to upset him and go behind his back getting a better role/job so that he ends up with one less person on his team. Is this the right thing to do? Should I try and get myself into the better role and risk upsetting the manager who took me on, or should I stick to it until I'm finished in 4 months and then contact the traders to see if the position is still open.

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
