The Richard Rose Federation is due to partner with us in January 2014, when it will benefit from the experience, resources and partnerships offered by being members of a leading national family of schools. You will be key in making sure it does just that. The role We’ll look to you to provide leadership and management of key support services to enhance effectiveness and improve efficiency, thus resulting in improved standards of educational achievement. As well as overseeing the work of the Finance team, you’ll prepare the Federation’s annual budget in collaboration with our Principals and central support colleagues. You’ll also manage our Academies accounting function and monitor all of our accounting procedures to ensure we’re compliant with audit requirements. Overseeing our Estate Management activities will be important too, as will playing a proactive part in managing and monitoring contracts, tenders and agreements for the provision of school services and facilities, including catering. Line management; health and safety; grant applications and sponsorship and the organisation of events – all are aspects of this pivotal role. Your profile As well as an academic or professional qualification related to the role you’ll be undertaking, you’ll need lots of business acumen and a real flair for inspiring confidence and motivating others. Enthusiastic, energetic and proactive, you’re as comfortable collating and interpreting financial information to make informed decisions as you are benchmarking to develop best practice and best value for money strategies. What’s more, you’re a great team worker and efficient administrator with excellent IT skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure, often to tight deadlines. Apply here:
