The Pricing and Product Profitability team is responsible for modelling and analysing the effect on the banks revenue and balance sheet resulting from changes in interest rates, fees and asset / liability mix.
As a Finance Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Qualified / part qualified accountant ( CIMA / ACCA or ACA) or equivalent
Proven experience of investment appraisal and financial modelling
Proficiency in database orientated programming (SAS and SQL)
Strong Excel skills, including an understanding of Visual Basic coding
A good understanding of the financial services industry, including the products and services provided and how they contribute to the banks profit
As a Finance Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:
Providing detailed financial analysis on product profitability providing valuable insight to senior management and product directors
Liaising closely with the Marketing teams to analyse and report the financial impact of business proposals for submission to Pricing Committee
Developing and enhancing detailed customer analysis used to generate expected liability and asset profiles and support modelling assumptions.
Maintaining and developing existing financial models and analysis so they constantly reflect current trends and business requirements
Providing expert advice and feedback to senior managers on papers prior to submission to Pricing Committee
Preparing and developing regular analysis providing product performance information and KPIs to board and product directors
What we are looking for in you:
To be successful in this role you will have a good understanding of the financial services industry, including the products and services provided and how they contribute to the banks profit. You'll have a very numerate and analytical mind set with strong attention to detail.
Salary: £45,000 - 55,000 per annum + car allowance
