We have opportunities in this role in London, Coventry, Manchester or Leeds.

Be at the forefront of a rapidly growing new division

As Barclays Senior Governance and Control Manager, you’ll play a leading role in our Personal and Corporate Banking division. We’ll look to you to deliver a world-class control framework that meets the needs of external regulators, while putting our customers’ needs first every time. You’ll be influencing and shaping a rapidly expanding area, developing risk and control strategy at the leading edge of the business. That makes this is a great opportunity to gain exposure to colleagues of all levels, while gaining specialist skills that will allow you to progress your career even further.

What you’ll give our customers as Senior Governance and Control Manager

You’ll be our go-to technical expert for our Business and Premier Product/Proposition conduct risk framework. That means you’ll be guiding and advising key stakeholders across the business to make sure that we meet the demands of our regulators with minimal impact on our customers and colleagues. It’s all about analysing and interpreting complex data from multiple streams to identify risks and present authoritative solutions to potential issues. All while coaching a high-performing team, understanding their needs and making sure they have the skills, knowledge and opportunity to give our customers the service they deserve.

What you’ll get in return

Help our customers get the best that Barclays has to offer, and you’ll get the same in return. We’re not just talking about valuable benefits like great bonus potential, private healthcare, childcare savings, and a huge range of employee discounts. You’ll also enjoy a unique company spirit that believes in giving people the freedom to do a great job today, and the support to reach their biggest ambitions in the future.

What you’ll need as Senior Governance and Control Manager

The success of everyone at Barclays is measured by their ability to put our customers at the centre of their day. To do that in this role, you'll need a detailed knowledge of FCA guidelines and corporate governance, including regulated practices, compliance requirements, and internal risk management. We’re looking for graduate-calibre individuals with a proven ability of influencing and negotiating with executive level stakeholders, with experience in project or change management.

We will consider applications from job share applicants.

At Barclays, we recruit based on merit and are committed to promoting diversity throughout our organisation.
